SIM Card

PAYG or Contract SIM - the CAT product range require a SIM to operate, the question is - do you follow our recommendation and have a contract SIM that we provide OR do you risk a Pay As You Go  (PAYG) SIM?

CAT products are fitted with a Data SIM enabled for DATA, SMS and MMS (and in some instances VOICE too), the SIM is connected to a Machine to Machine (M2M) network specifically designed to handle the messages and communications that your product will be sending (not a domestic mobile phone network) The SIMs we fit are very low cost, very reliable and very secure. The SIM is contracted to our partner Wireless Logic - Europe's leading machine to machine wireless network operator who have an extremely reliable and very secure data encrypted network. This contract SIM is our highly recommended option as we believe that it is vital that connection to the GSM network is made at a time when your camera or other device urgently needs to send a message to warn you of an intruder, of a fire or when a panic button has been pressed.

The alternative to our contract SIM is a PAYG (Pay As You Go) SIM, however, how can you be sure that there will always be credit on the SIM, that the mobile phone network is not congested or that the network operator has not disconnected your SIM due to inactivity?
